The Town of Lake Elmore calls itself "The Beauty Spot of Vermont."The lake is a warm water fishery favored by both motorized and paddle boaters. Elmore Mountain's summit (elev. 2,608 feet) is the site of one of Vermont's few remaining fire towers. The mountain is part of the Worcester Range and offers hikers spectacular views.
Geography:

Located in the southeastern part of Lamoille County, the town of Elmore is 23,040 acres, or approximately 36 square miles of mostly forest and agricultural land. Lake Elmore and Elmore Mountain, which rises almost from the lake's shore, are prominent features of the town. Lake Elmore, 219 acres in size, drains into the Lamoille River through Pond Brook.

Recreation:

Excellent camping, swimming, boating, hiking and picnicking. Canoe, kayak, pedal boats and standup paddleboards are available to rent.

Facilities:

44 tent/RV sites and 15 lean-tos; 2 campground bathrooms with flush toilets, hot and cold running water, coin-operated showers, a large sandy beach for swimming, a CCC-built beach house with bathrooms and changing rooms and a concession stand selling merchandise and light fare. The beach house function room can be rented for up to 50 people with chairs and tables available. There is also a universally accessible outdoor picnic pavilion that seats up to 100 people and has charcoal grills, picnic tables, electricity and restrooms nearby. Drinking water is located throughout the park. Firewood is available for purchase. There is a RV sanitary dump station, but there are no hookups. No camping in or around pavilions. Camping on designated campsites only.

Alerts and Important Information
Attention: Day use hours are 10 am - sunset.
Reservations made more than 7 days in advance require a two-night minimum. One-night stays are allowed within 7 days of arrival, any day of the week. Exceptions apply.
Pets are not permitted in the day use area but are allowed elsewhere in the park, on leash.
